Current Senate Scoreboard
Bottom Line

Now that Mitt Romney has formally entered the race, he is almost certain to become the next U.S. Senator from Utah. Many in the media—and perhaps among establishment Republicans in DC—are hoping the party’s 2012 GOP nominee will use his new role to create problems for President Trump. It seems more likely that the high profile Senator in waiting will find ways to work with the president on some issues and disagree on others.
