Current Senate Scoreboard
Bottom Line

Donald Trump’s stunning upset victory in Michigan naturally led Republicans to dream of defeating Senator Debbie Stabenow in the state two years later. But this race will be an uphill battle for whoever wins the Republican primary.

The Senate Conservative Fund endorsed John James in the GOP nomination battle. He is an African-American veteran whose nomination could make this a race to watch. However, wealthy financier Sandy Pensler is also seeking the nomination and pledged to spend millions seeking the chance to challenge Stabenow.
