Current Senate Scoreboard
Bottom Line

In California statewide races, Republicans are not a factor. But it’s a good place to observe the early skirmishes in a Democratic Party civil war.

Senator Feinstein is favored for reelection but facing grumbling from those who would like a more progressive Democrat to represent the state. The grumbling was serious enough that the statewide Democratic convention formally declined to endorse the incumbent for re-election (a majority of the delegates preferred State Senate leader Kevin de León). However, Feinstein leads in the polls, has a huge cash advantage, and is supported by both House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senator Kamala Harris.
